Google for Business has been a godsend for my small business, so if you have yet to explore the many wonders that it holds, this blog post is for you. Their business products cover several categories, so let’s take a look at each.
What it is: Google’s advertising platform.
Why you should use it: Choose search terms, and your ad will show up in search results when someone is actively searching for the products or services you offer. AdWords follows a pay-per-click model, so you pay only when a person clicks through to your website (and yes, you can set your budget so the cost doesn’t spiral out of control!).
What it is: Cloud-based services that allow you to create anything from simple websites to complex applications.
Why you should use it: If you are a software or app developer, Google Cloud Platform “has all the services your application architecture needs.” If you have no idea what that means, don’t worry about it – this service is not for you!
What it is: A free, simple way to monetize your website.
Why you should use it: You will earn money by displaying targeted ads next to your online content. Ads are high-quality, relevant to your website visitors, and allow you to control where and how they appear.
What it is: A powerful, integrated suite of tools that all you to access to business email, online calendar, file storage, docs, video meetings, surveys and more, anytime and anywhere.
Why you should use it: My team uses it and we love it, because it is so well integrated. For example, when I set up an invitation on my calendar, email addresses are automatically pulled in. Additionally, we are constantly collaborating on shared files, both internally and with our clients. In short, you should use it because it will make your life easier!
What it is: A way to include your business info on Search, Maps and Google+ so that customers can find you easily.
Why you should use it: This might appear to be for B2C businesses only, but it is just as useful for B2B. Who would argue against making it easier for potential clients to find you? Not me!
What it is: A platform that allows you to monetize your apps.
Why you should use it: If you’re an app developer, you’ll definitely want to consider using AdMob. It allows integration with Google Analytics and in-app purchase promotions, along with monetization tools.
Do you use Google for Business? What do you love about it? If you don’t, what tools are you excited to try?
