How to access the AI-powered Website Builder (new customers)
1. Navigate to Web.com and purchase a Website Builder or Online Store plan.
2. Once purchased, you’ll be taken directly to the AI Builder experience where you will be presented with 3 simple questions:
- Create the subject for your website. This is the industry or category you’re looking for and the tool’s basis for creating your website. Click Enter.
- Provide the title of your website or your company name, and then hit Enter.
- Add information about your website and what makes it unique. Be as descriptive as you’d like for a more customized result, and then hit Enter.
Tip: If you want to edit your answers, click the pencil icon [insert pencil icon, if possible], and then click Enter.
3. Once you’re ready to generate your website, click the Presto, ready to generate your site button.
4. This will show on your screen as the AI tool starts building your website:

How to access the AI-powered Website Builder (existing customers)
1. On the left pane of your Web.com dashboard, click Website or Ecommerce.
2. In the Drafts section, click the ADD DRAFT button.
3. Click the GENERATE WEBSITE WITH WEB AI button.
4. Follow the directions under New website creation using AI as a new customer to continue.
An Introduction to the Refresh feature
After AI Builder has generated your website, you’ll be able to edit text, add or replace photos, and add new blocks and features as you wish.
- If you want to try a different design all together, click the Refresh Content icon (stars icon).
Note: The Refresh Content feature is available only before the website is published and any manual changes are made.
To restore to the previous template, follow these steps:
- Hover over the Site Backups icon and click LAST THEME.
- On the lower right of the screen, click Restore Backup to confirm your action.
How to use AI Writer to edit the text generated by AI
- Select the text you want to change to display the editing menu.
- Select the AI Writer button in the editing menu:
- Enter your prompt in the Post Topic box to generate a new text.
- Click the WRITE MY IDEA button.
The AI tool will generate a text right away:
- Additionally, you can further customize your settings for AI Writer. Select Optional.
