With Twitter’s recent profile page redesign (and Facebook changing their Pages and News Feed constantly) what should your business profile look like and what information should it contain to get more attention for your business?
- Since social media is constantly changing, you need to stay on top of your social media profiles and make sure all your information is up to date and your images are current. If the platform has changed rules or added more options, make sure you are on top of that as well.
- If you have a brick and mortar location, make sure your business address is in your profile. That way, customers can “check in” and let their friends know they are in your store or office.
- Facebook wants you to have separate personal and business pages, but it’s possible to make them work well together. You can allow people to follow your personal page without having to approve them as friends, which could be a plus to help you guide more customers to your business page.
- Be personable in your profile, tell your entrepreneurial story, and give a face to your business by showing your personality as a business owner.
