Use social media to grow your email list
There are three things you can do here:
Optimize email subscribe pages for mobile
Because people are increasingly using their mobile devices – not desktops – to access social media, make sure your email subscribe pages are optimized for mobile. That also means you need to ask for less information. First name, last name, and email should do it.
Add social buttons to your emails
There are two kinds of social buttons – share and follow. Place share buttons with content, and place follow buttons at the top of your email (bottom is less optimal, because then you’re dependent on readers scrolling to the bottom).
Share social media channels in a drip campaign
When you’re setting up a drip email campaign (one that will go out after a lead or website visitor downloads an ebook, makes a purchase, or subscribes to your email list), focus one of those emails on your social media presence – and let people know what kind of content they’ll enjoy on each channel.
