Discounts on additional renewal years added at the time of the transfer request are available for 1, 2, 4, and 8 year terms. Special discounted per year pricing is reflected in shopping cart total. Once the domain has been successfully transferred to Web.com, any additional years added at the time of the transfer request will then be charged to the card on file. Upon expiration, all domains will be renewed at the then current price. This service auto-renews. To cancel, contact us at 1-800-862-8921 before the end of the first billing cycle to avoid renewal.

Start by preparing your domain name for transfer at its current registrar. A registrar is the company where your domain is currently managed that you want to transfer away from. Depending on your registrar, the transfer process can range from 30 minutes to 8 days.

1. Make sure your domain has been registered for at least 60 days.
2. Make sure your domain name is not expiring within the next 15
3. Make sure you have access to the email address associated with your domain name
4. Remove any locks or security settings at the current registrar
5. Change your domain privacy settings to public
6. Request an authorization code from your current registrar
