I was just starting out in photography and I met this French woman who worked for one of the largest malls and she hired me and changed my life. With this job I was able to start my business and have been in it ever since.

I was the freight manager of a small dollar store ($2M) and after working hard with my team we won what's called Top Gun (an award for highest quarter sales) three quarters in a row. We beat out stores in our district who were four times as big as us!

The greatest moment of my life was when my sweet 12 year old son woke from his Diabetic Kedoacedosis Coma last year after being airlifted to pediatric ICU! He had no brain damage or organ damage and he manages his type 1 Diabetes without a coomplaint!

Not many golf tournaments come to Iowa but when the Solheim Cup was announced to be playing in Iowa, I knew that I had to volunteer to help out my home state.. The highlight moment for me is having this “Nancy and Nancy” picture with one of my idols.
I did a beluga interaction at a local aquarium - it was the highlight of my life. I have chronic pain issues, and I was able to push through for a day to meet my favorite animal. I was crying the entire time, and it was the most mind-blowing experience.
My biggest moment so far was buying a one way ticket to a state I have never visited with the sole purpose of acing a job interview. I have now become independent, bought a new car and pay my own bills. Turns out grass was way greener on the other side.

My big moment was when I had my third heart surgery to repair my superventricular tachycardia defect. When I was finally able to stand up after the surgery with a strong pulse was incredible. Feeling my heart beat strong after 6 years of it not.

In June 2018, I presented at my 1st national conference. I’d spent 2 years prior honing my expertise to present. As a young professional woman, surrounded by over 100 HR professionals 20 years my senior, I knew in that moment I’d chosen the right career.
I always had a negative self image of myself from day one. Maybe it was growing up with just a single parent, or being bullied in school, I'm not really sure. When I started world traveling, it created self esteem I never had in myself before.
This was the moment I decided to leave a steady, secure job I was miserable at and take a risk with my design career. The day I made that decision, I went to a nearby forest to reflect and think. I found a 'little library' there, which felt very special!
