How to Add and Customize Images in eCommerce

This is a guide on how to add and customize images in eCommerce. Whether you’re looking to upload new photos, adjust their size, or apply various effects, you’ll find step-by-step instructions to help you create a visually stunning and personalized web experience.

You can start uploading an image you want to use or choose one of our available stock images, which are free photos that come with your eCommerce website. If you need a high-quality image to place on your website, you can choose from our library of stock images.

Uploading an Image

1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.web.com/my-account/login.
2. In your Account Manager,
   • If you have one eCommerce product, you will be redirected to the eCommerce Dashboard right away.
   • If you have more than one eCommerce product, you will see a list of your eCommerce products. Click Launch next to the product you would like to set up to go to the eCommerce Dashboard.
3. Once inside your eCommerce account, select Website on the left menu, then go to your Site Editor. You will have the following options:
   • If you do not have a website project yet, you will be directly taken into Website Onboarding. Check out How to Get Started with eCommerce for a detailed guide about the Onboarding process.
   • If you already have a draft or published site, click the EDIT SITE or EDIT DRAFT button. You also have the option to create a new project by clicking the ADD DRAFT button.
     Note: Once taken to your site editor, you will need to add an image to your website, or if you have an existing image already, click on that image, hit the photo icon, and you will be redirected to the Image Editor page.
4. When the Design Studio page shows, click the + Upload Photos button next to the Stock Photos button.
   
    
5. A new window will pop up. In this window, you can upload the photo you want to use by dragging & dropping the photo in this window or by simply clicking the SELECT A PHOTO button.
   
    
   Note: You can click on the search our stock photo library link to use the stock photos instead of uploading an image.
6. Locate the photo you want to use depending on where you saved it from your computer.
7. Once the photo is uploaded, it will show in the Image Library tab.
   
    
8. To edit the uploaded photo, hover your cursor on the uploaded image and select Edit.
   
    
9. You can now edit the uploaded photo.

Using Stock Photos

1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.web.com/my-account/login.
2. In your Account Manager,
   • If you have one eCommerce product, you will be redirected to the eCommerce Dashboard right away.
   • If you have more than one eCommerce product, you will see a list of your eCommerce products. Click Launch next to the product you would like to set up to go to the eCommerce Dashboard.
3. Once inside your eCommerce account, select Website on the left menu, then go to your Site Editor. You will have the following options:

   • If you already have a draft or published site, click the EDIT SITE or EDIT DRAFT button. You also have the option to create a new project by clicking the ADD DRAFT button.

4. When the Design Studio page shows, click on the Stock Photos button next to the Upload Photos button found in the upper-right corner of your screen.
   
    
5. All available stock photos that you can use will show. You may scroll down to see more photos. You can also search for an image in the Search stock photos field.
   
    
6. Choose a photo by clicking on it. Then, click on the Use Image button to use the photo.
   
    
   Note: You can click on the Edit button next to the Use Image button if you want to make changes to the photo before using it. Make sure to click on the Save and Use button after editing to save the changes.
7. The stock photo will now be added to your Image Library.
   
8. To start editing the stock photo you have added, hover your cursor on the image and select Edit.

Replacing a Photo

1. If you wish to change the photo you are using, you will need to hover your cursor over the photo and click on the Replace icon.
   
    
2. You can choose photos in the Image Library or the Projects tab.
3. Once you have selected a photo, hover your cursor on the photo once again and click on the Apply icon.
   
    
4. The photo will be successfully replaced.

You will be able to add images to your site and customize them if you can follow this tutorial. These changes enhance the look and creativity of the viewers.
