How to Sell Products as a Bundle
You can use the kitting feature to group products into a bundle and sell them. For example, if you want to sell a bundle consisting of a coffee cup, a pack of coffee beans, and coffee filters, you can sell them together in one SKU:
ITEM | SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) | QUANTITY |
---|---|---|
Coffee Cup | 50 | |
Pack of Coffee Beans | CIVET_BAG_2_LB | 120 |
Coffee Filters | V60_120_UNBL | 60 |
In the example above, you can see each product sold as a standalone item with its own quantity. You can use the kitting feature to group these products and sell them in a new kit SKU: COFFEE_BUNDLE.
Kit SKU: COFEE_BUNDLE
- 1 coffee cup
- 1 pack of coffee beans
- 1 pack of coffee filters
Then, you would list the new kit SKU. The quantity will be calculated based on the availability of your components. Our example shows that you will only have 50 available COFFEE_BUNDLE products since you only have 50 coffee cups available.
eCommerce will reduce each item when you sell a kit, depending on the availability. Then, your active listings will be updated for the bundle and each component with the available quantity.
How to Sell Multipacks
You can also use the kitting feature to sell bulk for the same item. For example, you can group 4 coffee cups and sell them as a package.
ITEM | SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) | QUANTITY |
---|---|---|
Coffee Cup | MUG_RED_15 | 40 |
Kit SKU: 4-PACK-COFFEE-MUG
- 4 coffee cups
Then, you would list the new kit SKU. The quantity will be calculated based on the availability of your items. Our example shows that you have 10 available 4-PACK-COFFEE-MUG products since you have 40 coffee cups available (40/10=4).
eCommerce will reduce the coffee cup component by 4 units. Then, your active listings for the bundle and component will be updated with the available quantity.
How to Use Multiple Listings
Most sales channels only support one listing per SKU, which can be an issue if you need to list the same product multiple times using different titles, descriptions, or keywords to ensure you are marketing the product appropriately.
You can use the kitting feature to place a single item into multiple kits, which allows you to list the kits with unique SKUs and marketing language.
ITEM | SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) | QUANTITY |
---|---|---|
Coffee Cup | MUG_RED_15 | 30 |
- Kit SKU: LISTING_1_MUG
- 1 coffee cup: MUG_RED_15
- Kit SKU: LISTING_2_MUG
- 1 coffee cup: MUG_RED_15
- Kit SKU: LISTING_3_MUG
- 1 coffee cup: MUG_RED_15
Then, you would list the new kit SKUs. The quantity will be calculated based on the availability of your items. Our example shows that you have:
- 30 available LISTING_1_MUG
- 30 available LISTING_2_MUG
- 30 available LISTING_3_MUG
eCommerce will reduce your coffee cup component by 1 unit when you sell any of your kit SKUs above. Then, your active listings will be updated for each of the kit SKUs and components.
