How to Fix Mixed Content in Elementor
Important: Ensure to back up your database before following the steps below. You can install WordPress plugins to perform automated backups for your website.
To fix mixed content in Elementor, please follow the steps below:
- Inside your WordPress dashboard, click on Elementor in the left menu, then select Tools.
- Click the Replace URL tab.
- Enter your old and new website address (with https://) in the Update Site Address (URL) fields.
Note: You can view your current website address in WordPress's general settings. If your website address begins with https://www, you must include www in your URL. If the website address begins with https://, enter https:// only. - Click on the Replace URL button to update the website address in Elementor.
- Once the update is complete, go to the General tab and click on the Regenerate Files & Data button. Doing so will regenerate your CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) files with the updated links.
- Clear any cache(s) your Elementor website uses.
Your Elementor website should now be working without mixed content.
Note: If the above steps do not fix your issue, please note that any other plugins, hard-coded items, theme files, etc., with http will not be updated through this method.
