You will need to update both your incoming and outgoing server settings. Follow the steps below on how to update email password on iPhone or iOS.
Note: You must update your iOS version to iOS 17 before following the steps below.

To update the Incoming Server Password:

  1. Go to Settings.
    Settings icon.

     
  2. Scroll down and find Mail. Then, press on it.

  3. Select Accounts.
    Accounts option.

     
  4. Select the email account under ACCOUNTS.

  5. Tap on the email account once again.

  6. In the Account Information page, go to the INCOMING MAIL SERVER section. In the Password field, enter the new password for that email account.

To update the Outgoing Server Password:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Scroll down and find Mail. Then, press on it.

Note: The steps and images shown below are for Android version 14. You may need to update your incoming and outgoing server settings and the primary account password.

To update the Account Password:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Accounts and backup.
  3. Tap Manage Accounts.
  4. Tap on the email account that you want to update the password.
  5. Tap Password and enter the password you used when setting up the mail account inside your Account Manager. Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.

To update the Incoming Server Password:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Accounts and backup.
  3. Tap Manage Accounts.
  4. Tap on the email account that you want to update the password.
  5. Select Incoming settings.
  6. In the Incoming Server settings page, click on the Password field. The password should be the password you used when you created this mail account inside of your Account Manager. Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.
  7. Click Done.

To update the Outgoing Server Password:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Accounts and backup.
  3. Tap Manage Accounts.
  4. Tap on the email account that you want to update the password.
  5. Select Incoming settings.
  6. In the Outgoing Server settings page, click on the Password field. The password should be the password you used when you created this mail account inside of your Account Manager. Remember, passwords are case-sensitive.

  1. Open the Outlook application.
  2. On the upper left corner, select the File tab.

Windows 10
