Microsoft IIS 5.x and 6.x Certificate Installation
To proceed with Microsoft IIS 5.x and 6.x certificate installation, you need a copy of your SSL certificate. You would receive your certificate from us, a file typically named your_domain_com.crt, as well as the Certificate Authority (CA) bundle file containing the intermediate certificates, typically named either dv_chain.txt, ov_chain.txt, or ev_chain.txt and downloadable from your SSL control panel.
Certificate Installation on Microsoft IIS 5.x and 6.x
- Open your Control Panel by clicking the Start icon on your computer and search for Control Panel.
- Open your Administrative Tools.
Note: If you cannot find your Administrative Tools within the Control Panel, go to the Start Menu, then All Programs.
- Double-click the Internet Services Manager or Internet Information Services option.
- Right-click the website, then choose Properties.
- Go to the Directory Security tab, then click the Server Certificate button.
- The IIS Certificate Wizard will open. Click on the Process the pending request and install the certificate radio button, then hit Next.
- Browse to your SSL Certificate file, then hit Next.
- Double-check the information on the screen to ensure you are installing the correct certificate, then click Next.
- Click Next again.
The certificate should now work! Note that it can sometimes require a restart of IIS to bring the new certificate into effect.

Review
To install your certificate on IIS 5.x and 6.x, make sure you have a copy of your SSL certificate file, which is the your_domain_com.crt file. Also, when installing your SSL certificate, double-check that you are installing the correct one. After certificate installation, restart Microsoft IIS to activate your new certificate.
