Note: You can stop and start the Apache process if your server is running on Linux. For a server that is running on Windows you can stop and start the IIS service. You can contact your hosting provider for assistance if you are uncertain of the server type your plesk is running.
Plesk with Apache Web Server:- Click on Server on the left menu.
- Click on Service Management.
- Click on the green icon for the Web Server (Apache) service. You must do a stop and then start since a restart will still not work.
- Under the Main Menu, click on Settings.
- Under Applications, click on IIS Application Pool.
- Click on Recycle.
- You should now see that your SSL certificate is configured and installed for your website.
Troubleshooting:
In your browser, visit your site using https. It is best to use both Internet Explorer and Firefox to test it and check if your intermediate certificate is installed or not. There should be no warnings or errors. If the server is not yet listening on port 443, you might immediately receive a browser message about the site not being available. If a firewall blocks the traffic on TCP port 443 to the web server, your web request may take a long time and then time out.
You can view the certificate to see if it is what you expect, if you received a not trusted warning. Make sure to check the following: Subject, Issuer, and Valid To fields. The Intermediate certificate will not be correctly installed if the certificate was issued by us.
