Installing SSL Certificate with Exchange 2010

Note: Make sure to prepare the pre-requisite, which is the ZIP file received with your Comodo order or the Exchange Certificate yourDomain_com.crt or YourOrderNumber.crt (or .cer). These files must be present on your Exchange Server to follow the instructions below.
  1. Start the Exchange Management Console. To do that, follow the steps below:
    1. Click on the Start button.
    2. Select Programs.
    3. Select Microsoft Exchange 2010.
  2. Click the link to Manage Databases. Then, go to Server Configuration.
  3. Choose your certificate from the menu in the center button of the screen, which is the friendly name specified during the CSR generation process).
  4. Click the link in the Actions menu located at the far right to Complete Pending Request.
  5. Browse your certificate file, click Open, and then Complete.
  6. To enable your certificate to be used, select Server Configuration
  7. Click the link to Assign Services to Certificate, or right-click on your certificate and select Assign Services to Certificate.
  8. Select your server from the list provided. Click Next.
  9. Choose the services you would like to enable your new certificate. Then, click Next.
  10. Select Assign.
  11. Click Finish.

You have installed and enabled your SSL Certificate for use with Exchange 2010.
