How to Install WordPress from Your Web Hosting Control Panel

Installing WordPress
Follow the instructions below to install WordPress from your Web Hosting Control Panel.
- Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.web.com/my-account/login.
- On the left side of the page, select Hosting.
Note: If you have more than one hosting package, click the MANAGE button beside the package you want to access. - Scroll down to the Site Enhancements section and select the Open-Source Applications icon.
- You are given a list of open-source applications available for a one-click installation. Next to the WordPress application, click the ADD NEW INSTALL button.
Note: If you already have an application installed, you will need to click the VIEW OPEN SOURCE APPLICATIONS button to get to the open-source applications page. - On the Domain and Folder setup panel, you will see the page below:
- Domain drop-down menu – Click the drop-down menu to select the domain name on which you want to install WordPress.
- Folder – Enter the name of the folder where you would like to install WordPress.
- Checkbox – Tick the checkbox if you want to make it your website homepage.
- Click the NEXT button.
- On the Create WordPress Account panel, complete the following fields:
- Username – Enter the username that you will be using to login to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Password – Enter the password that you will be using to login to your WordPress admin dashboard
- Re-type Password – Re-type your password to make sure it is correct.
- Email – This will be the email that will be set as an administrative email your WordPress website. Alternately, you can also the email as your username when logging in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Click the NEXT button.
- Read the License and Agreement. Once done, tick the I Accept the Terms of the License Agreement checkbox.
- In the Confirm Installation panel, review the information you have provided. Then, click CONFIRM.
- WordPress will begin installation. It can take up to a maximum of ten minutes for the installation to be completed.
- Click the Back to My Applications button to return to the Open-Source Library homepage.
