You can't connect to your email account on your device or software.

We are currently performing an update on our email platform in preparation for a migration for your mailbox. As a result, you may see interruptions to your email software or app connections. Configuring your email settings will re-establish your connections.
Please use the following instructions to configure your email settings to re-establish your connections.
Before You Begin
- Have your email address and password ready in case you are asked to enter this information.
- If you set up your email as POP, you will need to back up your email content prior to making any changes. If you make changes without backing up your content first, your content may not be recoverable.
Troubleshoot Email Connection Issues
Update Your Email Settings
- Go to the email settings on your device or software. Visit How Do I Update the Email Settings in My Email Client? for instructions on your specific device or software.
Apple Customers – If you auto-configured your email profile, you will need to remove it and then move on to step 4 because these settings cannot be edited. See the steps for iPad/iPhone or Mac Mail. - Select the email account you want to update.
- Update the authentication type so that TLS (newer email clients may refer to it as TLS/StartTLS) is enabled. Enabling SSL and using TLS ensures your email remains secure. Please be sure you are using a mail app that supports TLS 1.2.
- If you are still having trouble, you will need to remove your email account and add it back (instructions listed below). If you do not have your email settings, visit the section What are my email settings in this article to look them up.
Important: Be sure you enable SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security). Enabling SSL and using TLS ensures your email remains secure.

Removing Email Profile on iPhone or iPad
- Go to Settings.
- Depending on your version of iOS or iPadOS, go to:
- iOS 14 and 15 or iPadOS 14 and 15 - Tap Mail, then tap Accounts
- iOS 13/12 or iPadOS 13/12 - Passwords & Accounts
- iOS 11 or iPadOS 11 - Accounts & Passwords
- iOS 10 or iPadOS 10 – Mail
- OS 9 or iPadOS 9 - Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Click on your mail account in the list.
- Select Delete Account.
I don't see a delete option: If you don't see an option to delete the profile, follow the below steps:- iOS 14 or Earlier – Go to Settings>General>Profiles. Then, select the corresponding configuration profile and Delete Profile. Enter your iPhone passcode if asked, then click Delete.
- iOS 15 – Go to Settings>General>VPN & Device Management. Then, select the corresponding configuration profile and click Remove Profile. Enter your iPhone passcode if asked, then click Delete.
Removing Email Profile on Mac Mail
- In the Mail app on your Mac, choose Mail.
- Click Preferences, then click Accounts.
- Select an account, then click the Remove button.
- If you are unable to remove the email account, then go to Apple Menu on your Mac.
- Click System Preferences, then click Profiles.
- Choose the profile from the list, then click the Remove button.
